CrossFit found me while serving in the U.S. Army, opening my eyes
to an amazing new world of fitness.
Having played competitive sports all my life, Army boot camp was a physical
joke so to speak. By the time it was all said and done I was slower, fatter and weaker. It was not until I was
introduced to CrossFit and labored through hundreds of jumping squats (starbursts) that I realized the difference, I had the
strength but not the conditioning. CrossFit has taught me the importance and need for both to become a more complete athlete
and thus more functinonal. As I ventured out on my own, experimenting with CrossFit, I immediately fell in love with
the intensity, the variation of routine, the competitiveness and the comradery gained from working out in groups.
I have attended multiple Level 1 CrossFit Certifications
and multiple Level 2 CrossFit Certifications, most recently as of November 2008. I have obtained the highest possible
certification currently offered by CrossFit and plan to continue my education in the different domains of CrossFit
as they become more available.
